Our Story
Why do you do what you do?
We need better leaders right now more than any other time in human history.
I believe we live in a very challenging world, and things are only becoming more and more complex and difficult to manage.
For me, my journey in this realm began long before I even realized it: I began learning and instructing leadership through the Royal Canadian Air Cadets at the age of 14 years old. In my early 20s, I got into the realm of data and insights (mostly by accident), and have accumulated expertise in those domains for over a decade with a global perspective.
In 2019, I was challenged by a great Executive Coach, Babette Bensoussan, when she asked, “What does 40 look like for you?” This question was the start of a significant journey of self discovery (it’s still not over).
During that period, I discovered the concept of Behavioural Economics. I’ve always been fascinated by psychology through my experience with sales and marketing, and things began to become clear, especially when linked with how and why we use information, data and insights in our daily choices.
As I considered my Ikigai (below and explanation here), I started moving down the path to what was the starting point of Enable Leaders.
My true “Ah ha!” moment came when I shared a piece of content that I thought would be valuable with a client (as has long been my practice), and she responded with, “that really resonates right now!” In that moment, it sparked something in me: “How can I make my efforts to help people more scalable to help more people?”
Following that, I began to consider how we can help people across all walks of life to improve their decision making, leadership and personal psychology to bring about a positive personal and organizational impact to create a better world. This is not just about CEOs and C-Suite: this is about equipping everyone in our organizations to lead themselves and others more effectively. That’s the ethos of Enable Leaders and if you’ve read this far, it’s great to have you as part of our community. If you know of someone who can benefit from this platform, please share it with them.
